Steve Earle’s new album features 16 tracks written by the legendary, late Guy Clark, who mentored Earle. Expect the 64-year-old Earle and his band (bassist Kelley Looney on bass, Chris Masterson on guitar, Eleanor Whitmore on fiddle and mandolin, Ricky Ray Jackson on pedal steel, and Brad Pemberton on drums and percussion) to play songs from GUY and hopefully some from Earle’s last tribute album, TOWNES (an homage to another mentor, Townes Van Zandt) at this Clearwater show. A set from one of the greatest living American songwriters still touring today should not be missed.

Steve Earle & The Dukes. Sat. June 8, 8 p.m.. $34.50-$69.50. Capitol Theatre, Clearwater. rutheckerdhall.com.
