There hasn’t really been a song of the summer for 2025, but Pool Kids might have just nailed it. The emo-slash-math rock quartet’s latest single, “Leona Street,” has a catchy hook and hefty guitar intro that sounds like an opening number of a set at one of the greatest scorcher alt-rock festivals ever.

The Tallahassee band’s third studio album, Easier Said Than Done, drops next week. And if it’s anything like the new single, Pool Kids’ newly-announced Tampa gig in November will be a must-see—especially with the additions of rock outfit Woolbright and “gateway band” Glazed playing support.

This show comes 10 days after Pool Kids’ early slot at Gainesville’s DIY “The Fest,” which will be headlined by The Get Up Kids playing its iconic album Something to Write Home About in full.

Tickets to see Pool Kids play the Music Hall inside Tampa’s New World Brewery on Wednesday, Nov. 5 go on sale this Friday and will cost $15.
