Check out a few concert highlights for this Wed., May 11 below.
Sticky Fingers with Bootleg Rascal Though the name implies some sort of Rolling Stones association, Sticky Fingers is, in fact, a reggae-fusion band from Australia, diverging from the typical post-Sublime rock tedium with lush psychedelic key and synth tones, breezy noodling guitar melodies, and heady-funky bass grooves. (Orpheum, Ybor City)
George Benson The 73-year-old jazz guitarist has spent his career exploring the smoother, R&B-soulful sounds of jazz and he’s earned 10 Grammys over 36 albums for it. But the song you likely know best by George Benson (other than “On Broadway”) was made famous by the late great Whitney Houston: “The Greatest Love of All.” (Capitol Theatre, Clearwater)
