Tampa’s Innings Festival will not return in 2024

After a two-year run on the grounds of Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, the baseball-meets-music-themed Innings Festival will not be returning for a 2024 iteration.

The weekend-long music festival—which has previously brought in the likes of Green Day and Imagine Dragons since its inaugural year in town in 2022—made the brief announcement through social media last week. “We had a great run at Raymond James Stadium but Innings Festival will not be returning to Tampa. Thank you for your support!” it read.

Some social media users have speculated that the end of this era has come about due to St. Pete’s Reggae Rise Up occurring on the exact same weekend in both years that Innings Festival was active.

Innings’ main home base since its inception in 2018 has been in Tempe, Arizona. And while it’s still scheduled to take place in the Grand Canyon State during the last weekend of February, a second, “Extra Innings Festival” weekend—ala New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival—has been added for March 1 and 2, also in Tempe. Lineups for either weekend have yet to be announced.

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay reached out to reps at the festival but got no response.
