After two long years off the road, Pete Townshend—who hates touring, Roger Daltrey, and The Who circa 2022, have announced their “Hits Back” tour, and the tour kicks off in Hollywood, FL. Two tour stops later, the band behind “Behind Blue Eyes” will bring their contributions to the British Invasion to Tampa’s Amalie Arena on Wednesday, April 27.

Tickets to see The Who at Amalie Arena go on sale this Friday, and start at $37.25. Currently, a presale is going on for American Express cardholders.

This tour continues the tradition of being backed by a full symphony orchestra, so if this show lives up to the brilliance of Pete and Rog’s 2019 “Moving On” tour stop at Amalie, it’s not going to be a night to forget. But this time, let’s hope that “Won’t Get Fooled Again” isn’t an acoustic rendition, and we get to hear Daltrey’s piercing scream live one more time. Even if it’s pre-recorded.
