MillionYoung [pictured] w/Chromatic Flights/Pop Glow Thx Management presents a bill of Florida-bred indietronica acts. MillionYoung the performing moniker of Ft. Lauderdale-based Mike Diaz uses a laptop, guitar and synths to create layers of ambient soundwaves, looping bleeps and late night technotronic beats that serve as the backdrop for his high-sighing processed vocals. MillionYoung has hyped his way around the blogosphere with MP3s posted on Big Stereo, Off the Radar, Gorrilla vs. Bear, and a host of others, and earned a notable 7.6 rating on Pitchfork.com for his January release, Be So True EP. St. Petes whimsical and surreal Chromatic Flights is the solo project of Kyle Wyss from Blind Mans Colour. He sprinkles glittery experimental fairy dust all over poptastic washes of synthesizers, fuzzy and clear frequencies vying for ascendancy amidst wistfully sweet vocals. Pop Glow of Winterhaven is a disco glowstick dance pop band that employs vocoders, zippy synths, and spry rhythms. (The husbands comment: Sounds like Daft Punk meets Kids Incorporated.) 8 p.m., Crowbar, Ybor City, $7 (ages 18 and up).
Impromptu A swinging quartet heavily influenced by the gypsy-jazz style of seminal French guitarist Django Reinhardt, and encompassing two guitarists, a violin player and bassist. This two-set show is staged in celebration of Reinhardts 100th birthday and as part of the Side Door Jazz series. 7:30 p.m., Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg, $18 -$20.
Tom Goss Gay acoustic pop musician Tom Goss is a disillusioned Catholic seminary school student-turned-activist singer-songwriter with whispery melodic vocals and an appealing earnestness in his delivery. Goss is touring in support of a concert DVD, Live at Terrys, and a new EP, The Politics of Love. The four-song recording challenges same-sex marriage opponents like Sarah Palin and Marion Barry, reflects on Proposition 8, and has generated a music video for the song, You Dont Question Love thats composed of clips featuring traditional and same-sex wedding and commitment ceremonies from around the globe. 9 p.m., Flamingo Resort, St. Petersburg, $?.
