After cooking its one millionth meal last week, Trinity Cafe — a nonprofit restaurant serving Tampa's homeless and food insecure for more than a decade — announced Monday that its Feast for the Eyes: The Faces of a Million Meals event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, March 13.
At District 3 Arts & Events in downtown Tampa, Feast for the Eyes, set to showcase photographer Tim Kennedy's portraits of Trinity diners, will raise funds for the cafe while celebrating its milestone. Tickets cost $50 in advance.
The evening will feature hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine, auctions and piano tunes by Derrick Tucker alongside told-through-photos stories of the cafe's guests.
Trinity, opened in 2001, offers up chef Alfred Astl's dishes to folks daily. Its food program will benefit from the evening's proceeds, according to a news release. Those interested in attending should RSVP by March 6.
