Reverb, the non-profit organization that "greens" music tours, is looking for eco-conscious volunteers to man their Eco-Villages during some big name concerts this summer.
The Eco-Villages are set up to give concertgoers an education in being greener through environmental displays and interactive activities. These Eco-Villages host other environmental organizations as well, and even offer a carbon offset program for fans at the events.
And the best part about helping out Reverb? After the headlining act begins, the Eco-Village closes down and volunteers get a general admission ticket to watch the rest of the concert. Shows included on the summer tour include: Dave Matthews Band, Jack Johnson, John Mayer, the Lilith Fair, and the Paramore Honda Civic Tour.
The Reverb site says:
Volunteering entails:
* Arriving 60 minutes before doors open
* Being briefed on Reverb's greening programs
* Assisting in final minor set up of greening program area
* Encouraging fans to take action
You would receive:
* An official Reverb volunteer t-shirt to wear at the show and take home
* A work pass granting access to the general admission area
* The chance to watch the headlining act
* Eternal gratitude from Reverb and the Lilith Fair tour
