It's good to back on the front-end of the week, starting you guys off with a fresh mix-tape to soundtrack your week.

Future Islands finally dropped their new record The Far Field (it's pretty damn good), Tei Shi is smooth as ever, and Feist keeps teasing us with yet another great single from her upcoming LP. Let's see what else caught my ear.

Frank Ocean's music makes me happy, especially the latest offerings. Well, he's done it again with his brand new single "Biking," but not without some help from Jay-Z and Tyler, The Creator. "Biking" stays in the same realm as his other recent track "Chanel," mellow with minimalist percussion, and it's not by accident. Frank wants you to focus on the songwriting, and you should listen closely as Franks croons, "God gave you what you can handle, gave you what you can handle. I got the grip like the handle. And I'm biking." Preach on, Frank.

After a six year layoff, Seth Haley aka Com Truise has returned with "Memory," his new track. Haley also announced a new album titled Iteration, due out June 16. A summertime Com Truise album release means his space electro instrumentals are just in time for those long summer night drives. "Memory" is just a reminder that Haley is one of the best when it comes to synthwave.

Nick Hakim is an artist that excites me. His released material thus far is very captivating. Hakim straddles the line of neo-soul and psychedelic lo-fi rock. "Green Twins" is very much both of those genres. It sounds ambitious to successfully do, but Hakim has nailed it. The production style is what drew me in. "We wanted to imagine what it would have sounded like if RZA had produced a Portishead album," he said about his goals for the LP. I'm sold. Green Twins will be available May 19.
