Well, that was fast. A mere six days into hurricane season and there's already a tropical storm bearing down on us. The good news is you have a fresh Weekly Tune-Up to score the day, if you happen to be stuck inside. And I think some of the selections in this week's edition are very appropriate for this type of weather. Everyone stay safe out there…

Beck is back! Last summer he gave us "Dreams," a summery, disco-vibing single that carried Beck fans through the season. A year later, he's gearing us up for summer once again with the dancefloor-worthy "Wow." I've always been a huge fan of Beck, and it's because of songs like "Wow," which is shows off his versatility. There's some definite hip-hop influence here, ala his Mellow Gold/Odelay era, and it's sure to make its way onto many party playlists this summer. Look for his as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2014's Morning Phase this October. Can't wait.

Speaking of returns, we've seen De La Soul popping up on various albums over the years as guests, but it's been a dozen-year gap since all three members came together to record a proper record, and the Long Island, N.Y. group is finally releasing their ninth studio album, And The Anonymous Nobody, on August 26. The legendary trio has given us a preview of what's to come with the Snoop Dogg-featured "Pain," a bouncy, funky track that has a deeper Doggy flavor than De La — but it still works and I'm not mad about it. And The Anonymous Nobody should be on every hip-hop lovers' radar this summer.

Anytime I hear a Strokes song, I just can't help but smile. I always link good times and The Strokes together, so when they announced their new EP two weeks ago, I was stoked. Future Past Present is just an EP with four songs (one being a remix), but who the hell cares? "OBLIVIUS" was the first single released about two weeks ago, and I'm a fan, but I chose "Threat of Joy" instead; it has more of that Strokes swag than the other three tracks on the EP. I'm eagerly awaiting a full-length from the good time indie-rockers, but Future Past Present will keep me satisfied, at least for now.

If you're in the mood for some jazz vibes, BadBadNotGood is always a safe bet. The Toronto outfit is set to release IV on July 8, a new 11-track LP. "Time Moves Slow" kicks off the new album in a proper way and makes a good single. They've called on Sam Herring of Future Islands to add vocals, which was a great call. The slow burning track showcases Herring's smooth, yet uniquely deep tone over minimalist percussion and guitar plucks. IV will also feature collabs with Colin Stetson of Arcade Fire, Mick Jenkins, Charlotte Day Wilson and Kaytranada
