
The 52-year-old blues guitarist the nephew of engineering legend Glyn Johns. Pattie Boyd is an aunt on his mother’s side, and that meant that Clapton was his uncle, and you had better believe that the younger Johns was taken under the guitar legend’s wing.
Because of that, he’s gone on to record five studio albums (with a sixth one in progress right now), perform with members of the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, and The Clash, and hold down a “Cream of Clapton” tribute act for his uncle (which was just in downtown Clearwater not too long ago).
His trio takes over the intimate Safety Harbor room right behind Gigglewaters for this rare gig.
