The saccharine, undercooked pop of the sisters’ 2007 single “Potential Breakup Song” is almost out of view, and 2019 seems like another promising year for Alyson and Amanda Michalka (aka Aly & AJ) who arrive in Ybor on the heels of the release of “Don’t Go Changing” from a forthcoming EP, Sanctuary, where the duo embrace the idea of love, no matter who you’re doing it with.

“Whether it’s a lover, a dear friend, or even a sister, we’re all constantly up against public judgment and self scrutiny” the pair recently told Highsnobiety, “sometimes the voice you need is the one telling you there’s nothing to change.” Orpheum is hosting this mid-week treat.
