One day, Anthony Aldissi is going to move back to Tampa Bay, buy a house near the beach and play jazz for us until he dies. For now, though, we’re happy to settle for the Gibbs High alums trips home where his virtuoustic Rhodes and Moog work links up with some of the Bay area’s best musicians.
At Hooch and Hive near downtown Tampa this weekend, the lineup includes bassist Seth Adam Lynn, drummer Roger Lanfranchi, and saxophonist Nick Bredal (aka Chooty B)—who help the mythology of the Ethos of Aldissi project come to life in mindfucking fashion. With Aldissi being just one of the many Bay area musical expats in town, this show has the potential to feature some talented friends onstage, too.
