The children of Bob Marley’s legendary backing band appear to have taken the Allman Brothers route by keeping their dads’ music alive with their own separate projects—and one iteration of The Wailers is headed to Tampa on Tuesday, Oct. 18 for a show at The Ritz Ybor.
To be clear, there are three or four incarnations of The Wailers, mostly consisting either mid-to-late Bob-era Wailers, or their offspring. The version of the band that swings into Ybor City this month features Aston Barrett Jr., who recently worked with legendary producer Emilio Estefan, husband to Gloria.
