On the surface, one might categorize Adult.’s music as cold wave or dark wave, but the Detroit-based duo actually describes what it creates as “a dark, dance aesthetic that harnesses the perverse aspects of the late '70s analog dystopian post-modernism." Heady.

The duo—which has been consistently releasing music over the course of the last two decades and most recently played Tampa Bay when it opened for Cold Cave last March—brings its latest album, This Behavior, to Crowbar in Ybor City on May 15. Arizona-based cowboy-synth project Body of Light opens the show.

Tickets to see Adult. and Body of Light play Hooch and Hive in Tampa, Florida on May 15 are on sale now and cost $12-$15.
