Will Evans, former frontman of roots-rock band Barefoot Truth, is playing solo these days, and on Friday he kicks off a two-night stand at the Safety Harbor Arts and Music Center (SHAMc).

A longtime surfer, Evans works that Jack Johnson upscale-beach bar vibe but with way more depth, live-looping and instrumentation. I’m not encouraging an ayahuasca trip, but the man plays the goddamn didgeridoo, so you make the call. Though a lot of you are getting vaccinated, SHAMc still has a mask requirement.

If you can’t make it and still want to donate to the nonprofit, you can via a vetted and legit PayPal account.

Will Evans. Friday-Saturday, March 12-13, 7 p.m. $20-$25. Safety Harbor Art and Music Center, Safety Harbor safetyharborartandmusiccenter.com
