Caribou wants to melt with you

Last summer, Caribou's Dan Snaith released Andorra, a brilliant electronica album that recalls the dreamy beauty and warmth you'd typically only associate with '60s bands like The Beach Boys or Beatles. The producer, programmer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist crafted the catchy, richly textured album at home on his computer, but on stage, Caribou performs as a quartet with Snaith at the helm. "In concert we're an in-your-face, face-melting rock band," Snaith told Creative Loafing last year with a laugh. Expect trippy visuals to accompany the music.

Caribou w/Fuck Buttons, 9 p.m. Sun., April 6, Crowbar, Ybor City, $10 in advance/$12 at the door.
