Chris Mondak is heading into his senior year at the New England Conservatory where he studies jazz bass, but he’s spending part of his summer on tour. His Wednesday show at the Blue Note will feature Mondak and friends playing songs from his first CD during the first set before opening the floor up for a jazz jam in the second half of the evening. More info is available here.

There’s even more jazz happening on Wednesday, and another performance finds one of the Seminole Hard Rock’s casino hosts bringing his spring show to the Hard Rock Café. Come for the chops that Don Mark has honed since the age of 14 and stay for a set from his Imaginary Jazz Fusion Band where Mark pretty much talks to himself the whole time, adding a comedic element to his set. More information is available via seminolehardrocktampa.com.
