Clint Black has a Wing Ding

Since his blockbuster 1989 debut Killin' Time put him on the map alongside crossover titans Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson, Clint Black has forged a respectable, if comparatively unspectacular, career in country. Supporting the sometime actor (Vegas, Anger Management) and current reality TV performer (Secret Talents of the Stars) are fellow 10-gallon cowboys Chuck Wicks, Jeff Bates and Rockie Lynne; American Idol season-sixer Phil Stacey (the cueball-headed one); America's Got Talent finalist Cas Haley (the David Hasselhoff-championed one); and Vince Mira, who's touted as "the young Johnny Cash."

Fourth Annual CTQ Wing Ding w/Clint Black, 11 a.m. (gates), Sat., April 12, Sarasota County Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd., Sarasota, $15 (advance), $20 (day of show), $50 (Gold Circle seating), 552-4800 or 1065ctq.com.
