She’s in Seminole Heights at Ella’s on Friday.

Gainesville-native and “Nashville lurker” Edan Archer has an Appalachian folk background that blends with rock and roll for a sound “characterized by fingerpicking, electric dulcimer, rock and roll energy and country hooks.”

Though her originals are on point (check out the bluesy 2020 single “Sweet William”), it’s Archer’s cover of U2’s “Bullet the Blue Sky” that got me. That vocal range is going to reach the top of high ceilings at Ella’s for this no cover gig. Reserve a table if you want to watch the show while dining on some Best of the Bay winning comfort food.
