It’s hard to call Aurelio Voltaire a goth poser, and fans can learn why when he makes good on a postponed concert by playing Tampa's New World Brewery on Friday, Sept. 23.

Aside from his dark style of music that almost always utilizes orchestral instruments—and takes on styles including, but not limited to sea shanties, parody, and good ol’ alternative—the 55-year-old Havana-born musician has also created Halloween-themed stop-motion for television, and written horror novels for both children and adults.

Laboratory opens the show inside the New World Brewery music hall.
