Damon Dash, hip hop's ninth element, comes to Tampa Bay

The genre's iconic entrepreneur hits town on August 9

He is not a turntablist. He doesn’t rap or break dance and I’ve never seen him tag a wall with a spray can, but Damon Dash is Hip Hop. KRS One expanded hip hop culture from its four traditional elements — deejaying, emceeing, break dancing, and graffiti, the genre's patron saint adding beat boxing, fashion, street knowledge and entrepreneurship to the mix.
Dash's career has been the personification of entrepreneurship, hip hop's ninth element, and he's coming to Tampa to share some of his wisdom.

Club Dubai welcomes the man responsible for helping build empires and create some of hip hop’s truly iconic figures at a Producers Xchange Listen Lecture Live event on Sun., Aug. 9, from 4 to 10 p.m.

Dash, the featured speaker, will be accompanied by rapper Murder Mook and model Deelishis. Attendees can look forward to his candor and unique perspective as well as a spirited Q&A session after his talk. And lest you're worried about the locals being left out, the festivities (presented by Blaque Loyalty and C.R.E.A.M. Team) also include performances by some of Central Florida’s best independent hip hop artists like Aych, Cambatta, Infinite Skillz (yes, that would be the guy writing this article), Rival, Samurai Shotgun, White Roux and others.

Club Dubai is located at 3849 Northdale Blvd., in Tampa.
Infinite Skillz is a Hip Hop fan and emcee. Click here to find out more about his music.
