Death Angel brings California thrash to Tampa this weekend with support from Tampa Bay death-metal band Vacuous Depths, plus and fellow California metal bands Exmortus and Hellfire. Death Angel originally formed during the heyday of thrash metal, the early ‘80s, taking a hiatus from 1991-2001. But they’ve been back and more metal than ever for over 20 years now, releasing their latest album, Humanicide, last May to fans just as excited as they were in the 80s.

Death Angel w/Exmortus/Hellfire/more Sat., Dec. 7. 6 p.m. $16. Brass Mug, 1450 Skipper Rd., Tampa.
