Deathcore band Carnifex at The State Theatre

With support by Oceano, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza and Within These Ruins, Carnifex mixed guttural growling vocals, pounding drum rhythms and enough sub-basslines to clean the cobwebs from every corner of the theater. Vocalist Scott Lewis took time between songs to scream at fans, encouraging them to mosh and push everyone around them. The result was a nearly constantly-swirling pit of confusion and mayhem that seemed to grow in size with each song. Even amidst a few injuries and bloody noses, fans of the band devoured both the music and the set.
