Guatemalan-American DJ Carnage is headlining New Year’s Eve at appropriately-named waterside restaurant and venue WTR at the Godfrey Hotel. Also on the bill, DJs Max Vangeli, Lolo Mayhew, D. Pablo and Nick Hogan—yes, Nick Hogan, whose dad is Hulk Hogan.

Who knows, maybe you’ll get to do a socially-distanced champagne toast with a WWE legend who, in April, suggested that “maybe we don’t need a vaccine” at the very site of his former restaurant (Hogan’s Beach).

WTR advertises “45,000 sq. feet of open air space” with most of the event being held outside, but DJs Puccio and Sherif will spin inside where masks and table service is required.

On Tuesday, WTR, through a spokesperson, told Creative Loafing Tampa Bay that temperature checks are being taken at the door and masks are required both upon entry and in all areas.

“Inside areas are limited to table service (eliminating the dance floor), we have Expanded Outdoor & Open-air Areas,” WTR wrote, adding that there are also “additional cleaning rotations, increased hand sanitizer dispensers throughout the property, and employee sick call procedures. We will continue to monitor and make adjustments where needed.”

As far as max attendance, WTR wrote that, “The cap on attendance corresponds with the local guidelines/ ordinances for the size of the venue; as these safety precautions are constantly changing and adjusting, the property is remaining flexible up until the date of the event.”

And, yes, there will be fireworks.
