Com Truise
Seth Haley has a long tour history in Tampa Bay, having opened for Tycho at Jannus Live but also played the now-closed Czar with Glitch Mob and even Orpheum to open for STRFKR. Haley—better known as Com Truise—returns to Orpheum as headliner this weekend in support of a 2020 album of unreleased music, In Decay, Too. His 2019 album, Persuasion System, found Haley headed in a darker direction. The 36-year-old producer rebuilt and reconfigured his sound for the new mini-album—released, as always, by rule breaker imprint Ghostly International—bursting with new moods, new tools and new sound possibilities. Though still nodding towards the aesthetics and sonic palettes of 1980s synth music, Com Truise's music is more subtle and richly orchestrated, well beyond any synthwave trends.
