The following is a message and an original song, "Fire on the Water", written by a local Tampa Bay musician, Max Combs, about the devastation due to the oil spill in the Gulf.

My name is Max Combs. I like most folks, I am devistated by the events that have unfolded in the Gulf. How this could be allowed to happen, I'll never understand. I am only one person, and as one, have a very small voice. I have been a musician most of my life and have lived in the Tampa Bay area for the last 34 years. I thought perhaps a more viable option would be to write a song about the spill. It's the only way I know to let the world know what I really think.

The following is a recording/video that my son (15) and I put together. Please feel free to use it in any way that might be helpful.

May this never be allowed to happen ever again,

Max Combs
