Downtown St. Petersburg’s State Theatre opened in 1950, and while it’s recently started a new life as Floridian Social, talent buyers there have done their best to regularly showcase acts that would have played the old State.

The latest iteration of that effort is “State Theatre Monday.” This week finds old school punk/ska hybrid Fang Shooey headlining a gig supported by Billy Summer’s newer rock and roll project Florida, and Blueberry Patch favorite Looshka.

If you RSVP, there’s no cover to see Fang Shooey play Floridian Social in St. Petersburg on Monday, March 5—otherwise it’s $5 at the door. Subscribe to Creative Loafing newsletters.
