David Crosby’s visits to the Bay area are starting to feel like a give-in (the Croz has family in the area), but there’s never a good reason to miss an appearance from the 77-year-old folk icon and Twitter-warrior.

Croz’s Thursday show at the Capitol Theatre finds him joined by the five-piece Sky Trails band named for his 2017 album. Past guests in the ensemble have included North Carolina songwriter Becca Stevens and Snarky Puppy’s Michael League, and this iteration of the band includes longtime bandmate and Canadian songwriter Michelle Willis, Crosby’s son James Raymond, Estonian composer Mai Leisz and guitarist Jeff Pevar. Croz has a new album to support (2018’s Here If You Listen), and there’s also a new Cameron Crowe-directed documentary about him, so you can totally expect the outspoken CSNY-alum to dish in between songs.

David Crosby, Thurs. May 23, 8 p.m.. $59.50-$99.50. Capitol Theatre, Clearwater. rutheckerdhall.com.
