Jam band Galactic knows how to party. The New Orleans’ ensemble purchased the legendary music venue Tipitina’s, which is the band's unofficial homebase. If you don’t know, expect brassy, jazz-influenced funk with the occasional hip-hop beat.
The former sextet is now a septet with Tank and the Bangas singer Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph (pictured above playing Tampa's Gasparilla Music Festival) sitting in with powerhouse vocals. I'm surprised there are still tickets available for the “On the Road Again” tour St. Pete stop on Saturday.
