Gruesome sings about cannibalism and is playing Tampa’s Brass Mug this weekend

It’s another metal Saturday at the North Tampa venue.

Get your ear plugs and hand-horns ready because it’s fucking metal, per usual, at Tampa's Brass Mug on Saturday night.

Though I was raised in Tampa, aka the Death Metal Capital of the World, and went to a Cannibal Corpse or Eulogy show or two, I am no longer in the metal-know. I had to get help from the Encyclopedia Metallum aka The Metal Archives for this one; the website says Gruesome is from Miami and California and was “born out of guitarist/vocalist Matt Harvey and drummer Gus Rios' mutual involvement” with a Obituary-headlining North American tour called “Death to All.” Bassist Robin Mazen and Daniel Gonzalez fill out the band that has “primitive life” and “cannibalism” themed lyrics. So maybe don’t eat before the show?

According to the event page, “Masks required for entry. Please be considerate of those around you.”
