If post-punk, darkwave or new wave are your musical beverages of choice, Ybor City’s Crowbar will have a steady stream on tap April 28.

In what will be one of the most comprehensive shows of those genres to hit Florida in the past several years, Crowbar Ybor will host Harsh Symmetry, Haunt Me and Ortrotasce April 28.

An internet radio Communion After Dark and Endoxa Booking show, it’s not too often bands in aforementioned alternative genres are gathered in one place, in one dance-ably dark music showcase.
Harsh Symmetry is a one-man, synthesizer-driven solo project of Los Angeles based musician Julian Sharwarko, mixing bits of 1980s post- punk and new wave with more contemporary touches of dark wave and minimal wave.

His song “Nowhere” combines elements of dance pop with ethereal shoegaze vocals. Austin, Texas’ Haunt Me, a three-piece postpunk/darkwave group, favors the soundscapes of Joy Division-New order and Ortrotasce consists of Nic Hamersly, a darkwave-electronic wizard from St. Petersburg.

DJ Winters will be on hand to keep sounds rolling between acts.
