Rose Bilal performs professionally as a jazz vocalist and in the theatre, both locally and nationally. She has opened for such music greats as the O’Jays, the Delfonics, Wilson Pickett, Chubby Checker and Gladys Knight and the Pips. Her theater roles have included playing Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks and Mother Clara Hale.

A Tampa resident for more than five decades, Rose devotes much of her time to giving back to her comminity through work with several nonprofits including the The Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association, Powerstories Theater, Stageworks and Care Givers Helping Hand. Through these nonprofits Rose can often be found appearing before grateful audiences at local schools, prisons and nursing homes.

To hear Rose live, check out her weekly Saturday evening gig at the Columbia Cafe in downtown Tampa.
