It’s Halloween weekend, so Seminole Heights restaurant Ella’s is letting people smash pumpkins

There’s a show from Fat Jim Morrison, too.

Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe in Tampa, Florida.
If it’s a holiday at Seminole Heights restaurant Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe, chances are that food is going to be thrown around. For Halloween, the neighborhood spot’s annual pumpkin smash is adding a Gallagher-style smashing station, plus some food you can actually eat (pumpkin spice eggnog, and deconstructed chicken pot pie).

If you bring your own pumpkin, Ella’s will buy you a drink, all while you’re surrounded by songwriter Crash Mitchell, plus the belligerent warblings of Fat Jim Morrison. The destroyed gourds are going to be fed to the cows at Providence Farms, so Ella’s asks that you don’t spray paint them or anything.

Tickets to see Crash Mitchell, Fat Jim Morrison, and Sam Williams at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe on Sunday, Oct. 29 are free.
