Spanish singer Ona Kirei has done quite a few Beatles tribute concerts in Tampa Bay over the years, but this weekend she'll turn the spotlight on herself for a bit during a St. Petersburg concert on Saturday, July 9 at Palladium Theater.

After a few singles, Kirei is just about to release her debut album, Mirage, “a diverse collection of original songs and creative arrangements of very personal songs.”

Joining Kirei at Palladium's Side Door Cabaret (one of Tampa Bay’s best rooms for jazz) are all-stars of the scene, bass-drums-and-keys trio La Lucha, trumpeter James Suggs, and saxophonist Mike diRubbo. And if you need more jazz in your life this weekend, you're in luck because the local concert calendar is rife with great jazz gigs on both sides of the Bay.
