A.J. Croce is no stranger to losing those close to him. Last September marked 50 years since his father Jim Croce was killed in a plane crash at the age of 30, barely a year after he finally got his big break with "You Don’t Mess Around With Jim."

Though A.J. was a few days away from turning two years old when his family received the news, his wife Marlo died suddenly five years ago, and ever since, he’s been keeping busy on the road, performing selections from his dad’s short but sweet catalog, and his own.

Tickets to his "Croce plays Croce" Clearwater gig, happening on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at the Capitol Theatre, are  seemingly sold out, but there's a few re-sale tickets listed online starting at $109.  Subscribe to Creative Loafing newsletters.
