Sorry, Parrotheads: Looks like you’ll have to wait yet another year to be in the presence of your king again.

Jimmy Buffett’s “Son Of A Son Of A Sailor Tour” was supposed to sway its way into Tampa last December, but due to shoulder surgery, all three of the Florida shows on the tour were pushed a full year to this December. The move gave the pirate, who’s looking at 74, time to heal, and everybody can be happy and healthy and—*squints* Hold on a second.

Reps at Amalie Arena announced last week that the Margaritaville performer’s rescheduled show would be postponed by a whole year, for a second time. Dec. 4, 2021 is the new date to catch his first show in Tampa since 2017. Oh, and it’s not the “Son of a Son of a Sailor Tour” anymore: Next sandy Christmas, it’s gonna be the “Slack Tide” tour.

An Orlando date set for Dec. 5 at Amway Center is now postponed until Dec. 11, 2021.

All tickets purchased for the original Amalie show, and the first rescheduled one, will be honored, and refunds are available at point of purchase. Makes you wonder why Jimmy longs to play Florida in December. Does he want to try and escape the heat? It’s not like the beaches will ever be empty.
