John Mayer’s new album, Sob Rock, is out today, and the 43-year-old songwriter and guitarist is bringing it to Tampa for a show at Amalie Arena next spring.

Tickets to see John Mayer play Amalie Arena in Tampa on April 5, 2022 go on sale to the public next Friday, July 23 at 11 a.m. EDT. Ticket prices have yet to be announced, but there are two presales happening on July 20 and July 22. A press release added that, a limited number of VIP packages will be available Tuesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. EDT; those packages include “Premium seats, preshow ‘Sob Rock’ lounge access, exclusive merchandise & more.”

Mayer is already headed to Tampa this summer when he plays guitar for Dead & Co. at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, but the April 2022 concert marks his first headlining show in the area since Mayer played Amalie Arena back in 2017.

No word if Mr. Sob Rock is going to down his sorrows in mini-doughnuts again, but  we’ll be on the lookout.
