Jordan Esker & the Hundred Percent and The 502s Double EP Release w/Kristopher James St. Petersburg pop band Jordan Esker & the Hundred Percent has gotten really good at navigating the digital release of its new music, but the outfit remains committed to booking unique release shows, too. This one finds Esker & Co. teaming up with swaggering Orlando Americana trio The 502s for a double EP release within the walls of St. Petersburg’s finest listening room. The Annual Johnny Thunders Birthday Bash w/Kevin K Band/New Brutarians/Captain Joe Harley/more The $5 cover on this Johnny Thunders birthday tribute show is more than worth it, especially if you’re one of the first 50 people through the door at Emerald Bar. Early birds get a free numbered show poster, and everyone gets a chance to celebrate the enigmatic ex-New York Dolls songwriter who would’ve turned 67 years old on Monday. Girl Power Fest: A Benefit for Girls Rock Camp St. Pete w/Thorn/Wet Nurse/Reality Asylum/Bitemarks/Laser Mouth/Permanent Makeup/Piss Test Last week, CL was fortunate enough to share the story of the good work happening at Girls Rock Camp St. Pete, and on Saturday a group of local do-gooders has organized a benefit show that’ll raise funds to help the camp pay its bills. A collection of goth (Thorn), synth (Reality Asylum), hardcore (Bitemarks), punk (Permanent Makeup) and garage (Wet Nurse, Piss Test) rock bands are coming from all over the state to play music from 7 p.m. to midnight.
