Auburndale native and country-rock icon Jon Corneal brings his long and winding, more-than-50-year career in the music business to Lakeland.

Corneal cut his teeth working as a Nashville session drummer for the likes of Loretta Lynn and Hal Willis. A chance meeting with Flying Burrito Brother Gram Parsons saw him play drums on the band’s first LP. Since then, Corneal has released multiple solo records showcasing his country twang and rock and roll attitude. Accompanying him is the modern-day Appalachian bluegrass of Back Porch Revival.

Jon Corneal w/Back Porch Revival. Sat., June 29, 6:30 p.m. Donations accepted. Hillcrest Coffee, Lakeland. INFO.
