I put together a playlist of pet-geared odes for this week's Heavy Petting issue. Now, a more straightforward playlist for all you lovers out there getting into the spirit of Valentine's Day weekend.

This playlist includes all songs with "love" in the title — whether happy or sad, vintage or brand new, these are songs I've loved growing up, songs I love now, and songs that deserve some love by all of you. Akron/Family have a whole album dedicated to the subject, Love Is Simple, and I've tapped the ostensible title track along with 40 others.
