If you were a fan of July’s Jazz-themed Music Issue, then you’ll probably dig next Saturday’s show at Palladium Theater. On October 26, R&B/blues prodigy Little Jake Mitchell rolls into town with his seven-piece band for an intimate showing at Palladium’s Side Door Cabaret. Topping out at 175-seats, the space is one of Tampa Bay’s best rooms, which bodes well for Mitchell who has toured with the likes of James Brown, Sam Cooke and Jackie Wilson. These days he prefers locales where he can walk around and get personal with the audience, while his talented rhythm and horn section (The Silver-Sonic Section) impresses with booming renditions from the golden era of rhythm and blues.

Little Jake & The Soul Searchers. Sat. Oct. 26, 8 p.m. $26-$48. Side Door Cabaret at The Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg. mypalladium.org.
