MacDinton's makes its way to Downtown St. Pete this December

Bringing Irish spirit(s), pub fare and revelry to the Jannus Live entertainment complex.

Guests can grab a pint or two before and after concerts at Jannus, have access to the Jannus Live courtyard, and be able to catch live shows seven days a week inside this new location. As for the food, it they'll be serving up "traditional Irish fare with a twist."

The ownership group doesn't want a carbon copy of the Howard Avenue location, though, and plans to, "adapt to our surroundings — like we did in Tampa," according to partner Marcus Winters. MacDinton's St. Pete's three bars are to be handcrafted by local artisans and will feature murals hand-painted by local artists.

MacDinton's Irish Pub and Restaurant, known for its lively scene in Tampa's SoHo District, is bringing Irish spirit(s), pub fare and revelry to Downtown St. Pete.

Scheduled to open in mid-December, the St. Pete MacDinton's will be setting up shop in the Jannus Live entertainment complex — where the ping pong social club, SPiN Galactic, was set to open.

"We'd been searching for another venue for about a year-and-a-half and we needed a large space," says MacDinton’s founding partner Barry O’Connor. "Seeing as Jannus Live is the best live music venue on this side of the Bay, and MacDinton's has a strong commitment to live music, it's the perfect match."
