Yes, it's a GoT reference, but the books not the TV show.

Catch Deland power metal outfit Seven Kingdoms at the Orpheum before it heads out on a national tour in September. Sabrina Valentine’s vocals cut through the heaviness like an angelic knife, giving off a more-rocking Evanescence vibe—check out the cover of Heart’s “Barracuda” to hear the talent.

And yes, the name comes from “Game of Thrones” but the books not the TV (the band formed four years before the HBO series). Viking-themed band Withering Earth and Tampa’s “melodious, yet crushing” The Prosecution open.

Masks are required for this show, vaxxed or not. “While you are allowed to remove your mask while drinking, masks must otherwise remain on while inside the venue. Refusal to comply with the venue’s policy risks you being asked to leave the venue without refund.”

Seven Kingdoms w/Withering Earth/The Prosecution. Saturday, Aug. 21, 6 p.m. $12-$25. The Orpheum, Ybor City. eventbrite.com
