On Saturday, Carson Cox—member of Merchandise, Too Free, Death Index, Romeo Blu and an array of other musical projects—will DJ at American Legion Post 111 in Seminole Heights.
The music starts at 9 p.m. in the Legion’s backyard—located at 6918 N Florida Ave—where the bar serves some of the cheapest, strongest drinks in town.
Cox (pictured above, c. 2013 at Mojo Books & Records) will play a wide variety of music during his DJ set, from electro to classic retro to post-punk and disco.
This Saturday marks the third installment of Cox DJ-ing at the Legion, and will continue to happen one Saturday night each month for the foreseeable future.
If you come out to hear some deep tracks and dance in the cool fall weather, keep in mind that the Legion is an old school joint—so it’s cash only at the bar.
