Miami garage-rock band Better Than This plays Tampa on Friday

The indie bill features pop-punk and emo, too.

If you speak Spanish to Better Than This to impress the Miami band, it just might work, and you have a chance on Friday, Aug. 12 at Hooch and Hive in downtown Tampa.

But even if you no hablo Español, you’ll still want to be in the West River district when the jangly garage-rock outfit with seafoam in its hair headlines an indie-flavored bill alongside pop-punk meddling partystarter Taverns and noisy emo quartet Frogs Show Mercy.
