Molly, German Brigante lead Tampa Bay’s busy house music weekend

The Castle and Ichicoro ANE play host.

On Saturday, Parisian house and techno star Molly Emeline makes her way to the Station House basement for a late-night set of house and techno music. She’s a resident at the City of Lights’ Rex Club, so it’ll be cool to see the long-running AKU, Karlovak, All Inn and Rekids signee spin for St. Petersburg as part of the L8 Night Flights series at Ichicoro ANE.

If you need an earlier dose of the untz, then head to the dungeon at The Castle to see German Brigante. House music is good enough as a descriptor when it comes to his music, but the drive to hyphenize all genres has led the Spanish DJ to get funneled into the “exotic tech-house” sorting bin. His 2018 single “Indira Gandhi” has Indian-leaning vocals layered on top of the track’s production, so we’re guessing someone is going to call it world music at some point.

Information on both shows is below.
