UPDATED 4/30 12:10 p.m.

Yesterday’s news of a September 13 Tampa show from Cat Power was a bright spot for fans who last saw the 47-year-old songwriter during a State Theatre show in 2007.

Tickets for the Ritz Ybor gig were supposed to go on sale Friday, but then the show disappeared off of Ticketmaster. The Facebook event page vanished, too. Hopes of seeing the “Woman” songwriter (thanks, Evan) started to blow away, wild in the wind.

On Tuesday morning, spokespeople for The Ritz told CL that the show was postponed until further notice, so we posted the original version of this post. But then spokespeople from No Clubs told us that the show was still on for September 13. Looks like a simple case of some things getting mixed up.

We'll update this post again when an official announcement and on-sale dates go public.

We personally had a feeling that this one would pop back up once things got sorted out on the back end, and we're glad that Cat Power fans aren't missing out on a show.
