His first solo album since Another Day on Earth finds Brian Eno offering up what he sees as a continuation of his "Music for Thinking" project that includes Discreet Music (1975) and Neroli (1993); this 76-minute composition in four parts was apparently inspired by a work currently housed in the Great Gallery of the Palace of Venaria in Turin, Italy.

Lana Del Rey, Born To Die - The Paradise Edition (Interscope/Polydor)
The original, multi-platinum album released earlier this year is beefed up with eight new tracks presented as the 'Paradise EP,' including the recently-issued single "Ride," produced by Rick Rubin and recorded at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu.

Sonic Youth, Smart Bar Chicago 1985 (Goofin')
In the fall of 1985, Sonic Youth was on a nationwide tour backing their Bad Moon Rising LP. This show at Chicago's Smart Bar was recorded on 4-track cassette and includes live versions of songs from that album, early performances of "Secret Girl" and "Expressway to Yr Skull," and a rare, never-before-released live rendition of "Kat n Hat." Mixed and mastered by the band from the original tape source.

Soundgarden, King Animal (Entertainment/Republic)
The band's first studio album in 16 years, since 1996's Down on the Upside, and their sixth overall. Gotta say, what I've heard so far from "Non-State Actor" has got me excited - Chris Cornell howling, Kim Thayil dishing out thick grungy riffs, and Matt Cameron hitting hard on rhythms. A new greatest hits collection featuring three discs with a combined 50 tracks that encompasses two brand-new tracks and a 12-page booklet.

Two white-and-tatted music makers - Travis Barker, Blink-182 drummer and producer who played with Suicide Machines and the Aquabats in his early past, and Southern rapper Yelawolf - present a collaborative recording. Check out the freaky (issued on Halloween) video for bumpin' first single "Whistle Dixie" below.

The Beatles, Vinyl Box Set (Capitol/Apple
The Fab Four's original studio album remasters that were issued on CD in 2009 and in 2010 for digital download finally make their vinyl debut. All 14 albums are manufactured on 180-gram, audiophile quality vinyl with replicated artwork, including the poster in The Beatles (The White Album), the cutouts from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band cutouts, and special inner bags for some of the titles. Each album is available individually, and accompanied by a 252-page hardbound book in a lavish boxed edition limited to 50,000 copies worldwide.
