The second wave of November releases crashes into the week. I've included info and links for the ones you want to know about most below, plus some other ones you may not have heard of (but should know), with audio & video for your listening and viewing pleasure. Click here to check out releases that dropped over the past few months.
Christina Aguilera, Lotus (RCA)
Army of Freshmen, Happy To Be Alive (self-release)
The Babies, Our House On The Hill (Woodsist)
Travis Barker and Yelawolf, Psycho White EP (Lasalle Records)
Two white-and-tatted music makers - Travis Barker, Blink-182 drummer and producer who played with Suicide Machines and the Aquabats in his early past, and Southern rapper Yelawolf - present a collaborative recording. Check out the freaky (issued on Halloween) video for bumpin' first single "Whistle Dixie" below.
The Beatles, Vinyl Box Set (Capitol/Apple
The Fab Four's original studio album remasters that were issued on CD in 2009 and in 2010 for digital download finally make their vinyl debut. All 14 albums are manufactured on 180-gram, audiophile quality vinyl with replicated artwork, including the poster in The Beatles (The White Album), the cutouts from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band cutouts, and special inner bags for some of the titles. Each album is available individually, and accompanied by a 252-page hardbound book in a lavish boxed edition limited to 50,000 copies worldwide.
Bush Tetras, Happy (ROIR)
Black Forest Fire, Transit Of Venus (self-release)
Books on Tape, Retired Numbers (Sorry Juniper!)
Susan Boyle, Standing Ovation: The Greatest Songs From The Stage (Columbia)
Clinic, Free Reign (Domino)
Crystal Castles, III (Casablanca/Republic/Fiction Records)
Deftones, Koi No Yokan (Reprise)
Grammy-winning alt rock/metal sextet Deftones present their seventh album (and second minus recovering-from-a-near-fatal-accident bassist Chi Cheng, and with replacement Sergio Vega). As lead-off track "Tempest" seems to indicate, Deftones are as ferocious as ever. Listen after the jump and check out the rest of this week's new aural fare...
