To New York hardcore punk four-piece Murphy’s Law, a consistent lineup won't matter when the band lands in Tampa on Thursday. Lead vocalist Jimmy Drescher is the only remaining original member of the band, which turns 40 this year.

A new album has been in the works since at least a decade ago, and was set to be released in 2014, but as of right now, nothing new has materialized on the band’s part since 2001. In the meantime, catch the group behind “California Pipeline” at Brass Mug just down the street from Skipper’s Smokehouse. Doors at 1450 Skipper Rd. in Tampa are at 6 p.m. and cover is $16.
Joining it are Gainesville punk-rock group Piss Test, the pirate punks of The Scurvy, as well as Right on Time, and Pig Pen.
